Our mission is twofold:
1. Equip minority contractors with the resources, mentorship, and strategic guidance needed to fast-track business development.
2. Foster economic stimulus within the minority community through collaboration, capacity-building, and relationship-driven opportunity sharing.

Based in Waukegan, Illinois, the Association of Minority Contractors of Lake County (AMCLC) is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to the fair and equitable distribution of private, public, and governmental contract opportunities. In addition, the AMCLC is committed to monitoring, reviewing, and conducting an analysis of contract opportunities throughout local, county, state, and federal governments and the “good-faith efforts” associated with the fair distribution of contracted projects.
The AMCLC plans to perform an environmental scan of the contractor business in Lake County and make the findings available to the affected communities, which includes the constituents and members. The overall goal is to monitor and provide information by reporting on as many economic and educational indicators as possible.
